MARIANNA B STAMPER, 70, Lexington, died June 25, 2017, in New Albany.
She was born December 14, 1946, in Beloit WI, the daughter of Roy Barraco & Wila Jean Creech Barraco. She completed high school & one year of college. She was formerly employed at Barrett’s Country Café in Austin and Don Terry Wrecker Service. She was of Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Linda Hendershott.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Stamper; daughters, Michelle Ann Grorich (David Johnson), Victoria Marie Carnley (Jeffery; Step Daughters, Melanie Renee Stamper and Angela Gayle Graff; step-sons, Michael Wayne Stamper and Jimmie Dean Stamper; brothers, Joseph P Barraco and Mark Thomas Newlin; sister, Teresa Barraco; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces & nephews.
Services will be at 7 PM Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:30-7 PM, Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date.


IMOGENE HALL, 55, Crothersville, died Saturday, June 24, 2017 in Little York.
Born July 6, 1961 in Scottsburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Alpha (Noble) Gambill.
Survivors include her grandson, Trenton Bowling, Austin, Indiana; sisters, Ruthie Caudell, Austin, Mary Allen, Crothersville, Delphia White, Austin, Margie Marshall, Austin, Jenny White, Austin, Imogene Hall, Crothersville and Glenna Vires, Austin; brother, Beacher Gambill, Chicago, Illinois, Marvin Gambill, Austin, Wallace Gambill, Austin and Bernice Gambill, Austin.
She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Bowling and a sister, Nellie White.
Funeral Service will be at noon Friday, June 30, 2017 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin with Rev. Jason Mays officiating. Visitation will be 10 am to 12 pm Friday. Burial will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Austin.

MERLE LEE DEATON, 82, Campbellsburg, died Thursday, June 22, 2017 at his home.
He was born August 3, 1934 in Campbellsburg the son of Ford and Catherine Chastain Deaton. He was a Christian by faith. He was an employee of Imperial Clevite for 35 years and retired from Dana Corporation in Mitchell after 15 years. He was also a farmer and an Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Yovonne Deaton on January 3, 2008 and his parents.
He is survived by one son, Greg Deaton of Campbellsburg; two sisters, Anna Mae Wolfe of Paoli and Louise Sama of Salem and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 1 at 11 AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 PM and Saturday from 9 AM until time of service.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Wonder Valley Christian Camp.


DEBBIE PACE ASHBURN, 64, Otisco, died Sunday June 25, 2017 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
She was born on August 7, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland to Charles V. and Lucinda Holston Langley. She was a member of the North Charlestown Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Ashburn; son, Shawn Pace (Holly) of Charlestown, daughter, Cynthia Pace of Charlestown; Step-son, Robert Ashburn of Campbellsville, KY; step-daughters, Bobbie Sue Ashburn of Marianna, AR, Shari Boone of Charlestown, Marlene Bayes (Jeff) of Marysville, Chandra Ashburn of Jeffersonville and Jennifer James (Bob) of Charlestown; brother, Vincent Langley of Charlestown; sister, JoAnn Sparks (Greg) of Maryland; 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday June 29, 2017 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Wednesday and after 9 am on Thursday.


MARGIE E. LANGFORD, 80, Sellersburg, died Monday, June 26, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March, 31, 1937 to the late Shirley and Mary Dulaney in Memphis. Prior to retirement, she worked in department store sales. She was a member of the Sellersburg United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Langford, and her brother, Ronnie Dulaney.
Survivors include her son, Terry (Pamela) Langford of Sellersburg; her daughters, Anita Langford of Sellersburg and Lori Rice of Sellersburg, her brother, Sonny (Noni) Dulaney of New Albany, and her two sisters, Mary Lee Bowe of Sellersburg and Shelby Dulaney of Sellersburg. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jessica Langford, Austin Langford, Cody Rice, Tyler Rice, and her great-grandson, Kaden Langford.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Friday from 9 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

MILTON “POPS” LARRY KEITH, 60, Charlestown, died Saturday, June 24, 2017 at his home.
He was born on February 19, 1957 in Pound, VA the son of Milton and Grace Morgan Keith. He worked in construction with several companies including Hughes Construction and Mid-State Paving.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Kessinger Keith; sons, Mike, Jeff and Brent Keith all of Charlestown; sisters, Nancy Boggs of Louisville, Eva Hubbard of New Albany, Brenda Collins and Susie Collins both of Hibernia, and Jody Keith of Oklahoma; brothers, Jerry and Ronnie Keith both of Charlestown; grandchildren, Destiny, Journey, Waylin, Ryan and Zakk; great-grandchildren, Violet and Zakk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Margaret Carr; brothers, Fred and Hollie Keith.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Charlestown City Park starting at 1 P.M. Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown is in charge of arrangements.


JOSEY LEE WELLS, 36, Salem, died June 23, 2017 at his residence. He was born on June 3, 1981 in Salem.
Survivors include his mother and step father, Patricia Renee (Roberts) Hardin & Joseph W. Hardin; grandmother, Barbara L. Vanover; two brothers, James R Wells JR & Jeffery Wells; sister, Jessica M. Wells; two step-brothers, Travis W. Hardin & Joey E. Hardin; step-sister, Stacey J. Hardin; aunt & uncle, Randy & Teena Balentine; four nieces Nevaeh E. Wells, Evelyn J. Wells, Amelia I.R. SUZANNE PENNINGTON, 69, Fredericksburg, died June 27, 2017 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
She was born December 25, 1947 in Louisville, to the late Weldon Hardin & Louise Gillis (Compton) Story. She was the wife of Norman Pennington. They were married on October 19, 2013. She retired from the LG&E meter reading department after 30+ years. She was a member of Greenville Christian Church, Greenville.
She is survived by her husband, Norman Pennington; son, Neal Hardin (Kelli) Spears of Fisherville, KY, daughter-in-law Julie Spears of Hendersonville, TN; one sister, Anita (Paul) Barmore of Louisville; one brother Don (Bertha) Story of Louisville; four grandchildren, Cole Spears, Taylor Spears, Grady Spears & Payton Spears; two step-grandchildren, Jill Vaughn and Norm Pennington both of Fredericksburg; nephews Eric Story, Benjamin Barmore and nieces, Sara Story, Amy Barmore and Chelsey Barmore.
She was preceded in death by her parents Weldon Hardin & Louise Gillis (Compton) Story and a son, James Beckom Spears.
Funeral services will be at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 1 p.m. with burial in the Kays Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 1-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 till time of service.

JOYCE ELAINE BLAIR, 67, Otisco, died Tuesday June 27, 2017 at the J.F.K. Assisted Living in Clarksville.
She was born on August 29, 1949 in Jeffersonville, to Everett J. and Mary Lee Martin Chandler. She was a wife and mother and babysitter and was a member of the Charlestown Independent Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Jeffery and Damon Blair and a brother, Ralph Chandler.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Gregory Blair; son, Lee Blair of Otisco; daughter, Sulayne Kaelin (Tony) of Charlestown; sisters, Carol Tipton of Charlestown and Laurel Thompson of Jeffersonville and grandchildren Rhett, Micah and Blair.
No services will be held and Grayson Funeral Home is in Charge of arrangements.


STELLA ANN MCKINNEY BELL, 80, Hanover, died on Monday, June 26, 2017, at her residence in Hanover.
She was born May 2, 1937 in Carroll County. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Cora Frances Purnell McKinney. She attended the Chelsea Church of God. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Bell Mann and her husband, Kevin of Lexington, Sheila Bell Lock Withers and her husband, Brian of Hanover; her sons, Roy Dale Bell of Grand Rivers, Kentucky, Ronnie Bell and his wife, Susan of Hanover; her grandchildren, Kasha, Brittany, Darrell Lee, Jr., Kayla Nicole, Kimberly Sue, Roy Dale, Jr., Cora, Amber Ann, Tricia, Jeremy, Brandy, Bradley; 21-great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of nearly 46 years, Roy Johnson "Jay" Bell; her son, Terry Lee "Gomer" Maddex; her daughter, Donna Sue Maddex Gaylord; her grandchildren, Russell Wayne "Shane" Maddex, Jr., Michael Wayne "Hollywood" Maddex and Crystal Marie Lock; her sisters, Mary Juanita Blair and Frances Ellen "Frankie" Carter.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 30, 2017, at 1 p.m., by Pastor Troy Hedges at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, 9306 North US 421 near Madison. DONALD EDWARD PELLMAN, 80, Clarksville, died June 28, 2017 at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville.
He was born on June 21, 1937 in New Albany. He was an Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post #28 in New Albany. He was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church in Clarksville.
Survivors include his wife, Faye (Hamblin) Pellman; two sons, Gary Edward Pellman, & Stephen James Pellman; two daughters, Donna Carter, & Paula Money and her husband Danny; eight grandchildren, Amanda Goetz, Justin Carter, Bradley Money, Adam Money, Aaron Money, Michael Pellman, Megan Pellman, & Ryan Pellman; five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law, Alan Carter.

MARVIN RUCKER “BUDDY” TUCKER SR., 84, Marysville, died Tuesday June 27, 2017 at his residence.
He was born on October 8, 1932 in Dearborn County, to Charles and Hazel McClure Tucker who precede him in death. He was a retired painter for Jeff Boat in Jeffersonville.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; son, Marvin Tucker Jr., of Charlestown; daughters, Brenda Douglas of Bardstown, KY, Tammy Thompson of New Washington, Regina Hurst of Borden; brother, Gary Tucker of Kentucky; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday July 1, 2017 at Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, with burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 pm and on Saturday after 9 am until time of service.


NANCY GRETA YOUNG, 63, Pensacola, FL and formerly of Charlestown, died Wednesday June 28, 2017 in Hart County, KY.
She was born on October 13, 1953 in Louisville, KY to Francis and Mary Alice Bailey Chandler. She had worked in the healthcare industry as a receptionist.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Amy Myers and sister Gwen Ford.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Young; sons, Billy Myers of Charlestown, Chris Myers of Sellersburg, J. R. Myers of Australia and Frankie Myers of Charlestown; daughter, Mary Myers of Charlestown; step-sons, Kenneth P. Young of Georgetown, OH, Raymond V. Young of Middletown, OH, Mark A. Young of Cincinnati, OH; brothers, Monte Chandler of Louisville, KY, Glen Chandler of Taylorsville, KY; sisters, Linda Todd of Simi Valley, CA, Patricia Kern of Jeffersontown, KY and Melissa Fuqua of Louisville; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday July 2, 2017 at Charlestown Cemetery.

CHRISTINE ANN MAXIE, 51, rural Crothersville died Wednesday, June 28, 2017.
She was born on June 8, 1966 in Elkhart, the daughter of the late Robert E. Butler SR and Mary E. (Stockwell) Smee. She was employed at Aisin USA, previously worked at Lon’s Donut Shop and Leroy’s grocery, and attended Tampico Christian Church. She was of the Baptist faith.
On April 29, 2017, she married Brian D. Maxie, who survives in Crothersville.
Other survivors include, three children, David Michael Spicer of Lexington, Paul Darrell Spicer of Greensburg and Diana Marie Callie Spicer of Austin; grandmother, Maxine Bencent of FL; four siblings, Robert Elmer Butler SR of ME, John Allen Butler of FL, Shelia Hatman of FL, and Bruce Allen Stockwell JR of FL; two grandkids, Destiny Eileen Spicer of Crothersville and Realidy Lynn Spicer of Crothersville.
Pastor Randy King will conduct a memorial service at 4:30 PM on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Tampico Christian Church, 5343 S County Road 450 E, Crothersville, IN 47229.

WILLIE DELMAR WRAY, 80, Charlestown, died Thursday June 29, 2017 at Lincoln Hills Healthcare in New Albany.
He was born on August 29, 1936 in Cumberland County, KY to Virgil and Ada Whitehead Wray. Mr. Wray was a former construction worker and farmer and was a member of the Faith World Church in Charlestown.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Cissell Wray; second wife, Ethel Aldridge Wray; sons, Rick and Tim Holcomb; 1 great granddaughter; brothers, Andy, Johnny, Buford and Bunt Wray; sisters Pauline and Lelea Blakley, Olean Ooten, Christine Lanham and Fannie Spears.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Hattabaugh Wray; sons, Karl Wray (Lori) of Charlestown and Russell Wray (Betty) of Marysville, IN; daughters, Jamie Stewart (Joe) of Marysville, IN, Teresa Roberts (Alan) of Clarksville, IN, Vickie Sammons (Dan) of New Albany, IN and Donna Wray of Scottsburg, IN; step-son Nick Holcomb of Charlestown; 35 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 pm on Sunday July 2, 2017 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 pm to 4: 30 on Sunday.


RALPH DOUGLAS HALL, 74, Charlestown, died Friday, June 30, 2017 at his residence.
He was born on February 26, 1943 in Jeffersonville, to Wilbert and Irene Brading Hall. He retired from Altec after 32 years as a die changer.
He is survived by his wife Marsha Reynolds Hall; daughter, Melissa Hall (John Paul), Karen Blackford (James) both of Charlestown; father, Wilbert Hall of Charlestown; step-brothers, David Warren (Ronnie) of St. Petersburg, FL, Charles “Buddy” Warren of Memphis IN, Irvin Warren (Mary) of Colorado; step-sister, Clara James of Charlestown; grandchildren, Heather Henley (Chase), James Michael Blackford, Brett Eli Blackford; nephew, Douglas Ray Musgrave and several other nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother; step-mother, Gussie Hall and his brother Donald Musgrave.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 3, 2017 at 6 pm at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will be Monday from 12-6 pm at the Funeral Home.
