Floyd clerk recognized by Chief Justice in State of the Judiciary
Most days Floyd County Circuit Court Clerk Christy Eurton works humbly in the background. While other officials in the judicial system catch headlines while addressing criminal complaints or resolving longstanding civil troubles, Eurton and her small army of Court Clerk’s have one goal – handling a host of administrative duties to keep the court system working.
North Harrison has little trouble repeating as sectional champs

After the celebratory team photos had been taken and after the nets at Corydon Central High School had been trimmed, North Harrison girls basketball coach Missy Voyles was reflecting on the significance of winning another sectional championship when she spotted a folded wad of three $1 bills laying on the basketball court. She tried – unsuccessfully – to find the money’s rightful owner and wound up – begrudgingly – pocketing the found loot.
The IHSAA held the 107th annual tournament pairings show on Sunday afternoon and a total of 399 teams were drawn and placed into brackets. The IHSAA boy’s basketball state tournament was presented by the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever.
Board does not extend Hibbard’s contract, negotiations continue

The New Albany-Floyd County School Board of Trustees heard from numerous supporters of Superintendent Dr. Bruce Hibbard before they began discussion and voting the renewal or extension of his contract during their meeting on February 13. But the board ultimatel, voted not to extend the contract but continue negotiations.
