Carson Gresh, an 8th grade student at Highland Hills Middle School, has earned a position on the Indiana State National Junior High rodeo team and will be traveling with fellow teammates to Lebanon, Tennessee on June 18th-24th to compete at the 13th annual National Junior High Finals Rodeo (NJHFR) in the Boys Breakaway, Boys Goat Tying, Ribbon Roping, and Team Roping competitions.

Council puts Floyd in line for Regional Cities Initiative funds PDF Print E-mail

The Floyd County Commissioners have opened the door should the state open additional funds for the Regional Cities Initiative. The Council unanimously approved an ordinance in support of forming a Regional Development Authority (RDA) by a vote of 6-0. Council member Cam Wright was not present at the meeting.

The New Albany-Floyd County Schools will be looking for a new Superintendent. Dr. Bruce Hibbard, who has been with the corporation for 8 years, has resigned to become the Superintendent of Franklin (Ind.) Township Schools.
