One thing I’ve learned in my 20 years of working in the media is to never throw stones. I live in glass house and throwing stones would leave me vulnerable.

I say that, because I want to make it very clear from the out-set of this opinion column – that I am not coming from a judgmental place concerning the three Washington County Commissioners.

There is so much social unrest in our country it feels like a powder keg and the next lit match can make it explode.

What is the lit match? It could come in the form of many different things.

It could be a comment, or it could be the action of an individual, or it could be a social stance taken by an athlete.

For as long as I can remember there has been at least some debate about the legalization of Marijuana.

The first time this was brought to my attention was at the Kentucky State Fair. I was barely old enough to vote when Gaitwood Galbreath, who was running for Governor, approached me and a group of my friends.

As quickly as they came upon us, the 2016 Summer Olympics are done. All the medals are handed out and for a short period, the political circus got a break from being the main attraction in the headlines.

A few things got my attention in these Olympics, but one of the things that stood out the most was some of the criticism media outlets got for their coverage.
